The Board authorizes the Superintendent or designee to establish procedures which allow for the safe, reliable, and timely access in self-administration of student medication administered by way of a metered-dose inhaler by a student for asthma or other potentially life-threatening respiratory illness or by way of an epinephrine auto-injector for severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis).
