4918.00 | Overtime Pay

A nonexempt employee will be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1½) times his/her regular hourly rate for time worked on holidays and any hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours in a workweek. Overtime shall be allowed only under emergency conditions. Prior approval must be obtained from the appropriate supervisor(s) for any overtime. Overtime must be worked on the District’s premises or a workplace prescribed by the District. Sick leave, holidays, and vacation during the week are not considered hours worked and do not qualify for compensation for overtime purposes.
