Teachers are not to release a student to anyone until first consulting with the principal or designee. Teachers and principals have the responsibility and custody of all children enrolled in the school. The parent or legal guardian must give authorization in order for a child to be released during school hours. Never release a child to a stranger until the parent or legal guardian has been contacted. [
