Teachers and administrators are expected to conform to the
Code of Ethics for Idaho Professional Educators. Reemployment is contingent upon such conformity. In particular, attention is directed to the accepted provision that the certified staff member refrains from making disparaging remarks about the student, the student’s home, or fellow staff members, and avoids destructive or vindictive public statements that undermine the public trust in professional colleagues. The certified staff member discloses through proper channels, without fear or favor, misconduct of any type, which is clearly detrimental to the profession and protects the ranks of the profession from those deficient in morals, standards, or ability.
