Each employee shall be allowed three (3) days personal leave to be used for personal business at no loss in pay. Salaried classified-exempt 12-month employees will be allowed four (4) days of personal leave each year. Each employee shall be allowed to accumulate up to six (6) days of personal leave in any one year. Salaried classified-exempt employees shall be allowed to accumulate up to seven (7) days of personal leave in any one year. Notice shall be made to the supervisor at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance of such leave unless an emergency exists. Personal leave shall not be granted to extend holidays or vacation, except with the approval of the supervisor. The maximum number of employees taking personal leave on any given day shall be limited to 10% of the number of both certified and classified employees in each building.
