Here is an update on MHS staff members Mark Shipley and Ken Berger’s hike of the Wonderland Trail around Mt. Rainier in 50 hours this past July in their hopes to raise money to help send our 6th grade students to the McCall Outdoor Science School (MOSS). This hike is a 92 mile, 22,000 foot elevation, knee-destroying hike.
Update: Ken Berger and his son, Isaac, and myself walked around MOST of Mt. Rainier this summer as fast as we could…64 miles out of 92 miles total in 32 hours! We all agree the trek was one of the hardest physical endeavors we have ever attempted. Many thanks to all who have supported us in this journey and all who have contributed time, well-wishes, and/or contributions to our cause…the McCall Outdoor Science School. To date, we have raised around $3000 for MOSS! WOW! We’re already planning our next trip next summer!
Thanks again, everyone.

That’s it. Thanks for supporting us and wishing us luck (You can still donate for this cause if you would like by sending a check to the Moscow School District C/O MOSS Camp Donation, 650 N. Cleveland, Moscow, ID 83843).
