MBL: Putting on the Brakes

Moscow School District #281 has put on the brakes of moving forward with Mastery-Based Learning at the secondary level. The elementary level will maintain what they are doing currently, but we will continue to monitor how TeacherEase is performing, and if any additional adjustments need to be made at this level.

We have asked that the secondary level staff, with parent and administrative support and input, continue to investigate an efficient manner to monitor the competencies (Standards) that have been identified as essential learning targets. These discussions will occur during the second semester.

I believe our school district has accomplished much these past years in our work on aligning our curriculum, Identifying common assessments, identifying learning targets, and working as a collaborative group. This work will help us move forward and continue to do excellent things for our students.
