Moscow Education Foundation Spaghetti Feed
On Wednesday, October 18 at the Moscow Middle School’s Multipurpose Room, a spaghetti feed will be occurring to raise money for the Moscow Education Foundation. In addition to the spaghetti dinner, there will be an opportunity to purchase cakes, pies, or cupcakes made by staff members and friends to take home. Even your superintendent will be providing an award winning cake (my opinion only). Our Board of Trustees will be helping with the serving, and our own administrators will be there to help with bussing tables for this worthy cause.
This new Foundation is a community organization that is raising money to support our teachers in enhancing educational opportunities in their classroom. Please help in supporting this worthy cause. See attachment below for further information.
Bear Booster Club Annual Auction Event
On October 21st the Bear Booster Club is putting on their annual auction event to continue to raise money to support extracurricular events that occur within our schools. This organization has been supporting the Moscow School District extracurricular activities even since I was an athlete at Moscow, which is close to the beginning of time. Please come and enjoy this event and support our students. See attachment below for further information.
School is in session and it’s great to have the students back. We are excited for this school year. We are moving toward a mastery-based learning format within the schools that will allow our instructors to better meet the needs of all students, assure students don’t miss any critical learning skills, and allow parents to have a better understanding of the level of learning of their child. We will be providing more information regarding Mastery-Based Learning throughout the year.
I also want to remind all of the visitors coming to our schools that they will now need to push a button for our door security systems that are located next to the main entrance doors to gain access to that school. This is a new safety feature within our district to help maintain the safety of our students and staff.
Looking forward to communicating with you throughout the year. You can also get updates on Facebook at Moscow School District #281.
