New Leadership at Moscow Middle School
As superintendent of the Moscow School District, I would like to announce that the Moscow Middle School will have a change in Leadership for the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year. Mr. Kevin Hill will be stepping down as principal of Moscow Middle School and Mr. Bill Holman has been hired as the next Principal of M.M.S.
We are sad to see Mr. Hill leave us after 14 years at Moscow Middle School. Mr. Hill has taken a new role as assistant superintendent in the Wapato School District in Wapato, Washington. Mr. Hill leaves the Moscow Middle School after 6 years as M.M.S. Assistant Principal and 8 years as the Principal of M.M.S. During his tenure at Moscow Middle School, he helped lead many of the positive changes within the school. He will be starting his new job at the beginning of July.
Mr. Holman will be joining us at Moscow School District at the beginning of August after spending 14 years working in the Pullman School District. In Pullman, he spent 8 years as assistant principal/activities director at Lincoln Middle School. He later became principal of Franklin Elementary, and held that position for 6 years.
Prior to his time in Pullman, Mr. Holman started his education career at Moscow High School. He was a Mathematics/Physics teacher for 13 years and began his administrative career as Activities Director for Moscow High School where he was the A.D. for two years before moving to Pullman.
Mr. Holman was selected from 13 applicants, of which four were interviewed. The four applicants who were interviewed did an exceptional job, but Mr. Holman’s experience and leadership style lead to the recommendation for his hire. We had an interview committee made up of certified and classified staff, administrators, and parent representatives.
We wish the best for Kevin in his new job, and we look forward to having Bill on our leadership team.
