West Park has started its biggest fundraiser of the year, Otis Spunkmeyer. Students received a packet in last week’s Wednesday folder explaining what to do. If you have not tried Otis Spunkeyer cookies yet they are of very good quality (the white chocolate, macadamia nut ones are my favorite). We have extra order forms or even a complete packet in the school office if you need one. Please return the order forms with the money by October 16th. Cookie pick up day is November 8th.
“International Walk to School Day is a global event that involves communities from more than 40 countries walking and biking to school on the same day to raise awareness of the benefits of walking and biking and need for Safe Routes to School. It began in 1997 as a one-day event, and has become the signature fall event for the year-round Safe Routes to School movement. Today, thousands of schools across America – from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and Guam – participate in International Walk to School Day in a variety of ways every October.”
University of Idaho student athletes will be joining us walking around the playground or playing active games.
It is supposed to be a beautiful fall day! Join us in a nice walk.
