Thank you for sharing your 2016 with McDonald School. We look forward to a great 2017!
Food Drive: Thank you to all who donated and helped collect food for our food drive. We collected enough food and resources to help several families during the holiday season. Your generosity and kindness is felt by many.
Winter Concert: We had a wonderful winter concert featuring our Kindergarten, First and Second grade students. I received loads of compliments from audience members that loved to see the children really having fun performing. A big thank you to Mrs. Stefani who worked oh so patiently and tirelessly with our youngest students to fill your homes and our school with the sweet sounds of the holiday season.
School Website: Our website is continually growing. If you see a need that isn’t there, please let me know. The Meet the Staff section of our website has grown! Check out our all of our staff and teachers on our website. www.msd281.org/mcdonald/home/meet-the-staff/.
Cold Weather: Please send gloves and boots with your children on cold days. Mark their clothing! They will still go outside for recess when it is 10 degrees (including wind chill) or above. There are loads and loads of clothing left by your little ones. Please come collect what you’re missing.
School Messenger: As with this letter and other correspondence I’ve used our district’s system called school messenger. This gives me the ability to send each of you an email, text and/or phone message. I will try to use email/text most often and phone calls infrequently. School messenger only sends messages to the first number or address you’ve listed on your child’s student information card. If you’d like to make any changes to numbers or addresses, please contact the school. This is also the way Dr. Bailey, our superintendent will communicate with you directly if he cancels school due to weather.
