Thank you to all who attended the Grand Opening of the Moscow School District Community Playfields on Monday, May 2. This project was a joint effort between the Moscow School District and the city of Moscow. These playfields have added a much needed area for the students of the district and community groups to play baseball, softball, football, soccer, and lacrosse games. Be sure to attend some games and check out the playfields!
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the patrons of Moscow School District No. 281 that the April regular board meeting of the Board of Trustees has been changed to APRIL 27, 2016 and the meeting will be held at the Moscow Middle School Music Room, 1410 East D St. Moscow ID.
Last Saturday, my wife Cathryn and I attended the Bear Booster Annual Auction and Dinner. The event was impressive as always. It was packed with people having a great time and helping to support our students in their extra-curricular events. I haven’t heard how much money they made this year, but by the great donations provided by the community and the willingness of patrons to generously bid I’m sure they surpassed their goals.
Extra-curricular, or as I like to call it co-curricular, is a vital part of our educational program in the Moscow School District. Lessons are not always just learned in the classroom. Leadership, teamwork, cooperation, and grit are just a few of the skills and behaviors learned. We are proud of our athletics, arts, and other school organizations that make up our co-curricular activities throughout the grade levels. We especially like how the community supports these opportunities for students. Thank you and especially thanks to the Boosters and the patrons who helped support this year’s auction.
